the NR team advises clients on questionnaire design to maximize
the clarity and flow of the study. Senior staff alert clients
when they identify problems with the wording of questions and
response alternatives, or with the logical flow of questions. |

Understanding that each project is unique, NR personnel work
with the client to secure the proper sample for each individual
job. Once in the field, our supervisory staff continually monitors
the efficiency of the sample and checks that proper sampling
procedures are used. |

Prior to fielding a new study, NR staff may conduct a pre-test
to assess how the questionnaire works overall. Clients may monitor
the interviewing either on-site or from a remote location. Some
of the specifics examined during a pre-test are sample usage,
screening questions, clarity and flow of questions and response
categories, length of interview, incidence and clarity of instructions. |

NR uses Query XM for our CATI questionnaires. The Programming
Department is fast, accurate, and adept at programming even the
most complicated documents. Referencing previous answers, performing
calculations, and complex rotations are handled easily. Clients
are able to ensure the accuracy of the programming by reviewing
the questionnaire in a user-friendly demo. |

NR’s 50 fully monitored CATI stations are staffed
with trained telephone interviewers. While new hires must successfully
complete a training session on all tenets of survey research,
the training and education of our employees is a continuing
priority.
Supervisors provide a thorough briefing on each study and monitor
interviews to ensure professional and accurate data collection. |

Completed survey results are tabulated using Wincross. The
Data Department works closely with clients to set up tables according
to their specifications regarding significance testing, summary
tables, means, medians, and nets. |
